   Human Effect, 2012 - 2016    Site specific, interactive projection installation redeveloped for multiple sites    Project website:  www.humaneffectproject.com     The project employs new technologies to create a responsive projection and animated installation. From global warming, to diminishing resources, the world is enormously affected by the human touch.   This series investigates the ephemeral nature of the world; in particular the effect humans have on the environment.     For her new work ‘1500 per second’, water bottles are used as a symbol for the environmental impact humans have through everyday life and consumption. The work was developed during a week residency in January utilizing the readily available objects to create a new projection work that responds to the architecture of the site at Alys Beach in Florida. The title, ‘1500/second’, quotes the number of plastic water bottles that are used in the US per second. The work aims to inspire reflection on global environmental issues.    The sister work ‘Bon voyage’ speaks of the bottles that follow the waterways floating out into the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, leaching toxins posing a threat to marine life and humans.

   Impermanence, 2014     Four-channel projection installation, Abbotsford Convent    A site responsive projection installation was developed during a short residency at the Abbotsford Convent. The work responds to the temporal nature of life and memory, referencing the light movement through architectural spaces in the old Sacred Heart Laundry.    Transition, 2014    Public art intervention in Hosier/Rutledge Lanes Melbourne    Commissioned as part of Urban Laboratory, a research project investigating ideas around safety in public spaces through public art interventions.    I created a pop up studio where I filmed passers by in Hosier and Rutledge lanes and created a shadow work projected back at night.   Transition investigates ideas around impermanence using projection particularly investigating time, change and mortality. Through the production of capturing real people then projecting them as shadows the work uses the shadow motif to focus on the trace we have on the world around us.      Absent Presence, 2014    Interactive projection, public art commission Townsville    Absent Presence references the traces we may leave as individuals in the world around us. Whether this is the imprint we have on the environment or the history that’s embedded into out lived spaces and architecture.    I am interested in what is absent and what is present with an aim that the viewer considers these ideas.    Landfill, 2010    Multi-channel rear projection. Public art commission Albury     Landfill investigates the impact of waste and the effect that non-biodegradable materials have on our environment including the adequate levels of recycle waist aggravating the problem. The work has been created to give the illusion the building is filling with discarded materials representing landfill. This work was originally commissioned by Albury City Council and redeveloped for Cube in Frankston.     Animator: Tobias J Edwards.

   Inside, 2006    Rear projection, Next Wave Festival & multiple locations in Melbourne    Passers by discover a series of virtual figures approaching the window from behind the glass.  In there increasing desperation to escape from the building the figures capture the audiences attention by pounding on the glass, then disappearing into the darkness, leaving them haunted by the experience. The containment being a metaphor for the interior space of the psyche the work comments on human emotion and the feelings associated with being in different spaces.
