Rear projection, sound, glycerine
Darkness reflects a vulnerable space where darkness engulfs a person. It highlights an inner struggle and reveals emotions expressed when in this state.
The work utalizes the architectural elements of the gallery to heighten the sense of reality, blurring the boundary between the virtual and the actual. Sound can be heard before the projected figure is discovered deep in an opening in the old and weathered wall.
